Don’t get me wrong the Tin Man is a lovely guy, good looking, fun to be around, very active and social but he’s one of these guys who just wants to be in love all the time and as soon as that honeymoon period is over he decides its time for a new love of his life. He just doesn’t seem to want to put the effort into developing a relationship, although he’s got ending them in a civil manner down to a knack.I would say the writing was on the wall as like my relationship with him we managed ten months and two holidays before we began just snapping at each other before civilly calling it a day. I was only looking at their holiday pictures from Florida two weeks ago thinking oh maybe this ones bucked the trend as it was their third holiday in thirteen months. I thought that maybe the Tin Man had realised that as he was fast approaching 40 and being eternally in a relationship but never committing thing doesn’t go with the grey, but I was wrong.

I feel sad that yet again he doesn’t seem to want to go the distance with someone and wonder if he’ll ever realise that there comes a point in most long term relationships when you stop seeing your partner as an escape from the world, and realise that you’d rather take on the world together, whatever that involves.
